Minor Skin Surgery
Many people are troubled by minor skin blemishes. These can vary from tiny unwanted pieces of skin to cysts, lipomas and moles. Although their size is small, these lesions are sometimes in a prominent place and can cause significant distress.
Dr Gordon has many years of experience in the NHS successfully treating these types of lesion. At Sage we offer a variety of treatments which include everything from electrocautery to formal excision, treating these lesions as quickly and effectively - and with as little trauma to our patients - as possible.
All treatments at Sage start with a full face-to-face surgical assessment with either Dr Richard Gordon or Dr Ian Innes. Only blemishes that are safe and suitable for treatment in our clinic setting will be treated; if your particular lesion is unsuitable for us to manage, we will suggest other options for you to consider. If needed lesions can be removed or biopsied and sent for analysis.
At Sage Aesthetic the price for removal/treatment of a skin lesion includes surgery/treatment, aftercare, follow up appointments if required, removal of stitches and initial dressings. We aim to ensure that you have no additional costs to consider, and to ensure that you are looked after by ourselves at Sage at every stage of the recovery process.
If you decide not to proceed you will be charged only for the consultation. If you then decide at a later date (within a 6 month period) to proceed with treatment then this cost will be deducted from the total price (see price list for details).
If there is any doubt regarding a blemish suggesting that it represents a significant skin malignancy, then with your permission we will refer you back usually to your own General Practitioner for further assessment.
Your safety is our highest priority at Sage.
